Experience: Snorkling

This is again one of the installment post of my side trip in Boracay. Have you tried to wear a snorkling gear? This is my first time to do snorkling and I am really nervous. One simple and valid reason... I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SWIM.. :'c I was really hesitant to jump off the boat since I dont know how to swim and afraid of thinking where would the current of the water will take me. But thanks to life jacket, I am floating! Getting out of my comfort zone again is another milestone. This is such a wonderful experience especially for those who loved to see fishes under the sea. Okay so much for the talk..blah.. blah.. blah.. Here are some of the pictures.

Experience: Reef Walk

Going back to Boracay... My bestfriends and I had the chance to experience what they call "Helmet Diving" or popularly known as the "Reef Walk." Using a 30 kilo helmet (yes, i am not joking, its a 30... thirty... trenta... tatlumpu) that will be put on top of your head covering your entire head & neck. But don't worry as explained and experienced, the 30 kilo helmet will loose weight when under the sea. The 30 kilos will become a whopping 2 Kilos only! Amazing! Hehe!

Before we tried the helmet diving, we were still half-hearted. The mere fact that it's really scary below and plus the devil's advocate of loosing oxygen supply under. But since its a once in a lifetime experience in Bora, tapang-tapangan kami.

Once you are under the sea and walking (literally), it was really a wow! You'll get to see fishes surrounding you. And of course, this can't be complete without these things - picture taking and video!

Here's one of the pictures I wanted to share with you. We were playing "habulang gahasa." Guess who's the loser! :)

And of course I can't end this post without sharing the rate. We were 5 and we got this for P400/head. We were in Boracay last September of this year (off-peak).

Experience: Parasailing

Parasailing is one of the attracting "To Do's" in Boracay. And for me, this would be the best activity so far. You will definitely enjoy your 15-minute ride with this big balloon, just like the feeling on a parachute! You will see how vast the sea once you saw this 100 feet above sea level. Not only that, you will definitely enjoy the cool breeze too. Me and my friend had the chance to experience this when we were in Boracay. We have it setup so when we rent for a ride, its around sunset time. And damn, everything was so perfect when you are up above! Not to mention a perfect background too! I hope I can share more pictures but unfortunately, we still unable to upload everything. Although the activity was too costly, we got it for P1,100/head, I can say that its really worth the price! Here are some of the pictures of my bestfriends enjoying the parasailing experience! :)

Boracay: Day 0

"Last call for passenger Garra-Lena E. Aguila..."

Anawangin Getaway

Anawangin is a cove in the town of San Antonio in Zambales. It is a beach that has an off-white sand and an evergreen forest cover near the shore (you’ll rarely see a coconut tree in Anawangin). Behind the forest is a small stream that flows out to the sea (During summer this stream dries up into a shallow pond). There are also two beach cliffs bounding the beach, which you can hike up and enjoy the view.

Going to Anawangin will approximately take 6 hours. From Manila, you can drive or take a bus to San Antonio, Zambales. Upon arriving at San Antonio you can hire a boat at Pundaquit that will take you to Anawangin. It is advisable to leave Manila at night so it wouldn’t be hot while traveling.

Last April 15 of this year, we have our so called "Reunion" of my co-workers. They were my friends when we started working at this company. We were excited for several thinigs. One, we'll meet again after so many years of not seeing each other. Two, we'll visit a very beautiful creation of nature. And three, we were also excited to know the danger of the cove.

Yes, it was rumored that the place was really dangerous. There were facts that certain group of people lost their lives during their vacation at the Anawangin. We were very curious why.

We were accompanied by Butch and Derek, our very own tourist guide! (thanks to pinoy caravan). Thanks to them, they were able to explain to us why there were several incidents and accidents happened on the island cove.

It was really a very tiring 3hour road trip from Manila to Zambales (not to mention that it's summer and its so freaking hot!). But, once you  stepped your feet on the beach, its worth the long trip. Parang hirap muna bago saya. hehe! I was really amazed of the beauty of the island. White sand. Green trees.

Me and my friends really maximized the time and enjoyed the offerings of the island. From swimming to trekking.

Camping. This is also one of the best things you'll do once you get there. It's purely camping. No electricity, No water supply (except for the tap water, which is undrinkable). No toilets! haha!

The vacation will not be complete without the laugh trip. Kwentuhan to the max when the night hits the beach. Haha! Pero those were the moments that we really missed alot. Not only that you get to know other people but also have bonding with them. Who is a DJ of a radio station. Right after the trip i tried listening to the DJ, and kulit lang tlga.

This would be one of the best way to relax, unwind and chill. I am looking forward visiting the place again when i have the time.

Love the place. Love the time. Love the memories.
